Valentine's day treats.

Whether you like Valentine's day or the sighting of red hearts and stuffed animals is enough to ruin your mood for the whole week, you must agree it's the perfect opportunity to treat your loved ones and yourself to some beautiful goodies and new releases. As if we needed another excuse, right?

I've put together a quick post full of gift ideas that would be perfect to spoil yourself or a loved one with and of course as a last minute inspiration for the boyfriend.

For the beauty lover, anything Charlotte Tilbury is so lovely and would make for the best gift. Of course the limited edition lipstick Valentine - a romantic petal pink - is the obvious choice, but if you can spend a little bit more the new Instant look in a palette Seductive Beauty holds a total look for every occasion and it's also the best way to try a few different products from the range without breaking the bank. I think the gorgeous Magical mini brush set also deserves a mention, as it would be great for anyone that travels a lot or simply loves luxury brushes. This rose gold brush set is also super pretty and would be perfect for those with a smaller budget.

If you have a friend that loves taking long, decadent baths, Lush went above and beyond with the V range this year and has some of the best gift sets - my top pick is Love and Kisses, which is a nice all-rounder and contains the cream of the crop of this year's releases.
If you're after something smaller, Cupid Bath Bomb will please just about everyone with a pink explosion of raspberry and lime, although I believe that everyone deserves to be a unicorn every once in a while, so the gorgeous Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar is a must.

A lovely Jo Malone cologne is always a good idea if you feel daring enough to gift a fragrance, but personally I think candles are a much safer option and something that people wouldn't usually splurge on for themselves. Because I love fig scents, Diptyque Figuier is one of my all time favourites and something I recommend to everyone that loves fresh, springy fragrances, but I also have my eyes and nose on BYREDO Bibliotheque as I can't imagine anything dreamier than a candle that smells like leather bound books.

If you really want to treat someone to something special, a beautiful watch would go down a treat. For a bit of a splurge I'm totally smitten with Olivia Burton's designs, while for something not so fancy, I also adore this Asos rose gold number - the mesh bracelet looks so expensive - or this boyfriend watch, as I'm partial to big faces and leather straps at the moment.
Also, inexpensive dainty jewelry is always high on my lust list. And other stories is a good place to start for cute little pieces that don't break the bank but last over time - I just bought this ring and I got so many compliments for it -.

Books and stationery are always a fallback of mine, especially if I need a last minute gift. For the social media lover, Capture your style is a cute little booklet full of useful tips on how to improve one's Instagram platform, whilst Eat beautiful is a perfect option for anyone who loves healthy recipes and beauty tips, and The little book of Hygga is the ultimate pick for all couch potatoes out there. As for stationery, you can't go wrong with this cute Ooh Deer weekly planner, this marble notebook set or this very Valentine appropriate zip pouch. A nice pen is also a very thoughtful and unusual gift: I've received this gorgeous Swarovski Rose gold pen for my birthday a few days back and I'm seriously obsessed.

Come se ci servissero altre scuse, eh?
Ho messo insieme un post veloce pieno di idee perfette per un regalo a voi stesse o a qualcun altro, o anche come suggerimento last minute per un fidanzato o un marito a corto di idee.

Per le appassionate di makeup, un qualunque prodotto firmato Charlotte Tilbury è un successo assicurato. Ovviamente la scelta più ovvia sarebbe il rossetto in edizione limitata Valentine - un romanticissimo rosa petalo -, ma se avete un budget più abbondante la nuova Instant look in a palette Seductive Beauty contiene un trucco completo ed è anche l'occasione perfetta per provare più prodotti in un colpo solo. Anche il favoloso Magical mini brush set merita una menzione e sarebbe ideale per chi viaggia molto oppure per chi ama gli accessori di lusso. Questo set di pennelli rosa oro invece è ugualmente grazioso ed è perfetto per chi ha un budget più risicato.

Se la vostra persona speciale ama fare lunghi, decadenti bagni pieni di bolle, Lush si è davvero superata quest'anno con la linea di San Valentino e nel range ci sono dei pacchi regalo davvero spettacolari - Love and Kisses, che contiene un mix dei prodotti migliori della collezione, è imperdibile.
Se puntate ad un pensierino più semplice invece, Cupid Bomba da bagno con il suo profumo di lampone e lime piacerà praticamente a tutti, anche se credo fermamente che ognuno meriti di sentirsi un unicorno di tanto in tanto, per cui Unicorn Horn Spumante da bagno è un must.

Un profumo Jo Malone è sempre un'ottima idea ed una alternativa ricercata se siete così temerari da regalare un profumo, ma personalmente credo che una candela sia una scelta più sicura, soprattutto perchè non è una cosa che ci si regala molto spesso. Visto che impazzisco per i profumi a base di fico, Diptyque Figuier è una delle mie preferite ed una fragranza che consiglio sempre a chi ama i profumi freschi e primaverili, ma al momento ho messo gli occhi ed il naso su BYREDO Bibliotheque perché non riesco ad immaginare niente di più meraviglioso di una candela che profuma di libri rilegati in pelle.

Per una coccola davvero speciale, un bellissimo orologio lascerà tutti a bocca aperta. Per un budget più consistente, io sono follemente innamorata della linea di Olivia Burton, mentre per qualcosa di più abbordabile adoro questo gioiellino rosa oro di Asos - il bracciale in maglia metallica fa un sacco di scena - oppure questo orologio boyfriend style, dato che amo particolarmente gli orologi con il quadrante oversized ed il cinturino di pelle.
Un'altra idea sono gli accessori non troppo costosi e dal design delicato, che sono sempre in cima alla mia lista dei desideri. And other stories è un buon punto di partenza per orecchini e anelli originali, che durano nel tempo e non svuotano il portafogli - ho appena comprato questo anello ed ho già ricevuto tantissimi complimenti.

Libri e cancelleria sono sempre un'ottima opzione, soprattutto per regali dell'ultimo momento. Per la fissata coi social media c'è Capture your style, un delizioso libretto con consigli e dritte per migliorare il proprio account Instagram, mentre Eat beautiful è il libro perfetto per le appassionate di ricette salutari e consigli skincare, e The little book of Hygga è la bibbia definitiva per le amanti del divano e la vita in pantofole. Per quanto riguarda la cancelleria, è impossibile sbagliare con questa agenda settimanale Ooh Deer, questo set di quaderni marmorizzati o questa bustina molto appropriata per San Valentino. Una bella penna è un altro regalo un po' diverso dal solito e ragionato: ho ricevuto questa meravigliosa Swarovski Rose gold pen per il mio compleanno qualche giorno fa e me ne sono innamorata all'istante.
