Lush Halloween haul.

It's that time of the year again, when Lush drops its Halloween and Holiday ranges and a trip to the closest store feels pretty much mandatory, especially since bath weather is finally upon us. Whether you celebrate Halloween and wait a whole year for the chance to show your spooky makeup skills, or you're only in for the candies and the pumpkin spice lattes like me, I'm fairly sure you'll agree that the chance for a lovely, extra cozy pampering bath is way too good to pass up on.

Halloween wouldn't be the same without Lord of Misrule Shower Cream, which has been a favourite of mine for years. I'm obsessed with Lush's shower creams as they leave my skin so soft and nourished, and of course smelling beautifully. The delicious combo of vanilla, black pepper and patchouli is both warming and uplifting, perfect to unwind in the evening or wakeup in the morning. Not only does the sweet and spicy scent sticks to the skin for hours but it also fills my entire bathroom - I wish the whole house could smell like it.

Sparkling Pumpkin is another oldie but goodie that I pick up every single year. The fruity scent is bright and almost unexpected, but still very autumn appropriate in a way, and the gold glitters add the perfect amount of magic to a festive soak. It's truly a heavenly offering and since a little creates an incredible amount of bubbles, you can get so much use out of it.

Next, I approached Pink Pumpkin with caution as usually bright pink and glitters mean Snow Fairy scent family, which is a no-no for me. Instead I was pleasantly surprised by its soft floral scent, which is very feminine and cheerful, and reminds me a bit of Rose Jam. The notes of jasmine and geranium with a kick of bergamot are quite lovely together and combined with hot pink water and tons of bubbles are the perfect complement to a princess-worthy pamper.

Last but not least, I knew I had to grab Bewitched Bubble Bar even before I had the chance to smell it in real life as I couldn't resist the idea of a black bath. The scent it's dark and mysterious with strong woodsy notes and an unexpected twist coming from tart blueberries in the background. It's quite unique and definitely a more unisex fragrance, not a scent that would typically catch my nose but it's beautiful and absolutely perfect for the spookiest night of the year.

Excuse me as I pat myself on the back for brushing off the Christmas collection - only momentarily, fear not - and showing lots of restrain with my shopping. See? I can be a responsible adult too, if I try really, really hard.

Ci siamo. E' di nuovo il periodo dell'anno in cui i prodotti stregati e natalizi di  Lush arrivano sugli scaffali ed un salto nella bottega più vicina è praticamente obbligatorio, specialmente considerato che la stagione dei bagni caldi è alle porte. Sia che celebriate Halloween ed aspettiate tutto l'anno per sfoggiare le vostre doti artistiche con makeup spaventosi o che siate interessati solo alle caramelle ed alle zucche decorative come la sottoscritta, sono convinta che nessuno potrebbe dire no ad un favoloso bagno caldo e coccoloso a tema.

Non sarebbe Halloween senza Lord of Misrule Shower Cream, che è uno dei miei prodotti preferiti da anni. Ormai lo saprete ma sono una grandissima fan delle creme da doccia di Lush, perchè lasciano la pelle soffice e vellutata, ed ovviamente meravigliosamente profumata. La deliziosa combinazione di vaniglia, pepe nero e patchouli è allo stesso tempo confortante ed energizzante, ed è perfetta sia per iniziare la giornata con il piede giusto sia per staccare la spina con una bella doccia rilassante. Non solo la fragranza dolce e speziata persiste sulla pelle per ore, ma riempie anche l'intera stanza da bagno - vorrei che tutta la casa potesse profumare così.

Sparkling Pumpkin è un altro classico immancabile che ricompro ogni anno. La fragranza fruttata è allegra e quasi inaspettata, ma comunque molto appropriata per il periodo autunnale, ed i glitter dorati aggiungono il perfetto tocco di magia ad un bagno festivo. E' davvero incantevole e visto che un pezzetto crea una quantità incredibile di bolle si può utilizzare più e più volte.

Mi sono avvicinata a Pink Pumpkin con circospezione perchè di solito glitter e rosa shocking sono sinonimo di Snow Fairy, che per me è un grande no. Invece la delicata profumazione floreale, che è molto femminile e vivace, e ricorda vagamente Rose Jam, mi ha piacevolmente sorpresa. Il mix di gelsomino e geranio con un pizzico di bergamotto è molto gradevole ed unito all'acqua rosa acceso e a tonnellate di schiuma, è il complemento perfetto per una coccola degna di una principessa.

Ultimo ma non meno importante, sapevo che avrei comprato Bewitched Spumante da Bagno ancora prima di averlo annusato dal vivo, perchè non potevo proprio resistere all'idea di un bagno nero e glitterato. La profumazione è intensa e misteriosa con forti note legnose ed una sferzata inattesa di more asprigne sullo sfondo. E' una fragranza unica e decisamente più unisex delle altre, non il tipico profumo che mi attirerebbe di solito ma è assolutamente appropriato per la notte più spaventosa dell'anno.

Scusatemi se mi do da sola una pacca sulla schiena per aver resistito al range natalizio - solo per il momento, non temete - ed essermi data un contegno durante lo shopping acquistando solo 4 cose. Visto? Anche io posso comportarmi da adulto responsabile se mi sforzo davvero tantissimo.
