Be My Lush Valentine.

The countdown to Valentine's Day has begun! Whether you plan to celebrate V-Day, Galentine's Day or you're just going to stuff your mouth with marked down chocolate and binge watch all the soppy movies on Netflix, we can all agree that it's the perfect excuse to treat yourself. And speaking of treats and self-gratification, of course my mind goes straight to Lush.
Today I'm sharing my favourite picks from the Lush Valentine's Day 2021 collection, which is a stunning mix of old glories and new lovely bits that will get you excited for lover's day in no time.

Every year I have to pick a bottle of Prince Charming shower gel, which is just so creamy and nourishing, and leaves my skin softened and smelling delish. The scent is a glorious mix of sweet vanilla marshmallow and fruity notes such as grapefruit and pomegranate for an energetic, uplifting twist. It's bright pink and so cheerful to use, it's impossible not to love it.

I had very high expectations for Love Me Do bath bomb, which sounded absolutely divine, and boy, I wasn't disappointed. This is such a unique bath bomb that comes wrapped in reusable muslin cloth to keep the dried rose petals from floating around the bathtub, but is also great for a gentle exfoliation. It's infused with lavender oil which is one of my favourite scents, and rose absolute; the result is a dreamy, heady fragrance I can't get enough of - I'll be saving this one for as long as I can, as it makes my bathroom smell amazing just sitting in its bag. This is supposed to turn the water ruby red for the ultimate V-day bath and I'm already looking forward to a luxurious soak.

When I spotted Heart Beat* bath bomb I couldn't hold back the excitement as it instantly reminded me of blue wonder Shoot for the Stars from the Christmas range, which is a go to of mine. As expected this one is quite beautiful in the water: the golden cocoa butter hearts melt slowly, making the bath incredibly moisturizing as the bomb fizzes away in a spectacle of Rose Jam scented swirls. It's one of the longest-lasting bombs I've tried so you can't help but relax and enjoy the soothing crackle of the popping candies.

Rose Argan* massage bar is another one for the rose scent lovers and the addition of a hint of chocolate makes it the perfect sweet treat for the day. The scent is much stronger than I anticipated as I could smell it from across the room and inside the bag when I first got it, but even if it's quite heady and intense, it's so dreamy and lingers on the skin for hours. I'm a sucker for anything that's moisturizing and makes my life easier when it comes to nourishing my limbs, and Lush massage bars always leave the skin feeling soft and snug. Another one worth checking out is Naked Attraction* massage bar, which is super creamy and rich with cocoa and shea butters and will leave you smothered in sumptuous jasmine and musky mimosa. The cheeky design makes me giggle non-stop - I'm sure this will be a popular one. 

The final one I picked is Blow me a Kiss bubble blower, which caught my eye with its quirky looks. Wands are always so tempting since they're fun to use, create tons of bubbles when you run them under the tap and are great value for money as you can re-use them over and over. This one has a delightful fruity scent that reminds me of tangy gummy worms, and is bright and upbeat. I can't wait to blow some bubbles!

Il countdown per il giorno degli innamorati è iniziato! Che celebriate San Valentino, Galentine's day o abbiate semplicemente in programma di abbuffarvi di cioccolato e guardare i film più strappalacrime su Netflix, possiamo tutti concordare che sia l'occasione perfetta per prendersi cura di se stessi. E se si parla di coccole e autogratificazione, mi viene subito in mente Lush.
Oggi vi parlo dei miei prodotti preferiti della collezione di San Valentino 2021 di Lush, che è un favoloso mix di vecchie glorie e nuove gemme che vi farà venir voglia di celebrare il giorno più romantico dell'anno.

 

Ogni anno acquisto una bottiglia di doccia schiuma Prince Charming, che è sempre cremoso e nutriente, e lascia la pelle morbida e avvolta da un profumo delizioso. L'aroma è un meraviglioso mix di marshmallow alla vaniglia e note fruttate tra cui spiccano pompelmo e melograno, che aggiungono un tocco brioso e rigenerante. E poi è rosa acceso, allegro e divertente; è impossibile non amarlo.

Avevo grandi aspettative per Love Me Do, che dalla descrizione del sito sembrava assolutamente divina, e non sono state disattese. E' una bomba da bagno unica nel suo genere, avvolta in un panno di mussola riutilizzabile che impedisce ai petali di rosa di disperdersi nell'acqua, ma è indicata anche per un peeling leggero. E' infusa di olio di lavanda, che è una delle mie profumazioni preferite, ed essenza assoluta di rosa; il risultato è una fragranza incantevole e inebriante di cui non posso fare a meno - cercherò di tenerla da parte più a lungo che posso, perché profuma tutto il bagno anche solo restando nel suo sacchettino. Love Me Do colora l'acqua di un intenso rosso rubino, perfetto per un sontuoso bagno di San Valentino che attenderò con ansia.

Quando ho visto Heart Beat* mi sono subito entusiasmata perché mi ha ricordato quella meraviglia blu che è Shoot for the Stars della linea natalizia, che è una delle mie bombe preferite. Prevedibilmente è anche altrettanto bella nell'acqua: i cuori dorati di burro di cacao si sciolgono piano, rendendo il bagno incredibilmente idratante, mentre lei frizza in spirali rosa profumate di Rose Jam. E' una delle bombe più lente e durature che ho provato, per cui non si può far altro che rilassarsi e godersi il dolce crepitio degli zuccherini scoppiettanti.

L'olio solido da massaggio Rose Argan* è un altro prodotto imperdibile per gli amanti del profumo di rosa e l'aggiunta di un pizzico di cioccolato lo rende la coccola ideale per San Valentino. L'aroma è molto più potente di quanto mi aspettassi, tanto che riuscivo ad annusarlo dall'altra parte della stanza e attraverso il sacchetto quando è arrivato, ma anche se è inebriante ed intenso, è meraviglioso e resta sulla pelle per ore. Ho un debole per tutto ciò che è nutriente e mi rende la vita più semplice quando si tratta di idratare il corpo, e gli oli da massaggio di Lush lasciano la pelle morbida e lenita. L'altro olio della collezione è Naked Attraction*, che è ricco e cremoso grazie ai burri di cacao e karité, e avvolge la pelle con le sue note eleganti di gelsomino e mimosa. E' un prodotto letteralmente nudo e dal design impertinente destinato a catturare l'attenzione - sono sicura che sarà molto popolare.

L'ultimo prodotto che ho preso è Blow me a Kiss, che mi ha intrigato con il suo aspetto irriverente. Gli spumanti da bagno riutilizzabili sono sempre una tentazione: non solo sono divertenti e basta passarli sotto il getto della vasca per creare una montagna di bolle, ma sono anche molto convenienti perché si possono riutilizzare più e più volte. Questo in particolare ha un delizioso profumo fruttato che mi ricorda le caramelle gommose frizzanti, è allegro e vivace. Non vedo l'ora di soffiare qualche bolla!
