A Paula's Choice duo I love.

The temps have dropped and it's finally starting to feel like Autumn! The edges of the leaves are turning golden outside my window and the air is getting colder and colder everyday.
Now is the perfect time to upgrade my routine, much like a change of wardrobe to suit the seasonal changes, and add more nourishing and hydrating products to my rotation. With the radiators turning on inside and the crispy breeze outdoors, my dry skin needs some extra love or else it'll start to look parched and flakey. Enter this Paula's Choice duo that made my hearth flutter from the very first application.

The first of the two products I've been using is the Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm, which is a lovely multipurpose cleanser. This ultra gentle, fragrance-free balm is packed with barrier-repairing ingredients such as omega fatty acids that prevent moisture loss during cleansing, calm redness and bring immediate relief to irritated skin - which is why I love to use it as soon as I get inside the house and peel off my mask. It's a wash-off cleanser and it's not going to penetrate deeply into the skin, but when my skin feels particularly stressed, I massage a dollop on my dry, clean face and leave it on for a couple of minutes as it's really replenishing and softening. It has the most delightful, silky texture that seems to melt as soon as it hits the skin: it feels rich and lush but cleans without feeling greasy and rinses easily with water. It's one of the best cleansers I've ever used, perfect to gently remove easy, everyday makeup and sunscreen, or even heavy duty makeup with a quick double cleanse.

Next, is the Omega+ Complex Eye Cream, which I've already repurchased once. Eye cream is an absolute essential for me, and because my skin is dry, and even drier around the eyes, I like to make sure that the skin in that area is always properly nourished and protected. I use this religiously every evening and wake up to smooth, perfectly hydrated under-eyes every morning. The combination of omega fatty acids, powerful antioxidants and ceramides really strenghtens the skin, makes it look smoother and feel more elastic. The consistency of this is perfect, it's so light and airy, it really melts into the skin and leaves no residue behind. I'm a big fan.

Overall, I really appreciate how gentle yet effective these two are, and I look forward to trying the rest of the Omega+ range and more products from Paula's Choice in general.

Le temperature stanno calando e finalmente l'autunno comincia a farsi sentire! I bordi delle foglie iniziano a screziarsi d'oro fuori dalla mia finestra e l'aria diventa più frizzante ogni giorno che passa.
Ora è il momento perfetto per aggiornare la mia routine, un po' come per il cambio dell'armadio per star dietro al cambio di stagione, e aggiungere prodotti più nutrienti ed idratanti alla rotazione. Con i caloriferi accesi dentro casa e la brezza più fresca fuori, la mia pelle secca ha bisogno di qualche attenzione in più altrimenti inizierà a screpolarsi. Ed ecco che mi vengono in aiuto questi due prodotti Paula's Choice che mi hanno fatto battere il cuore fin dalla prima applicazione.

Il primo dei due di cui dobbiamo parlare è l'Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm, che è uno splendido detergente multiuso. Questo balsamo ultra delicato e privo di profumazioni è pieno d'ingredienti che riparano e rinforzano la barriera cutanea come gli acidi grassi omega che prevengono la perdita d'idratazione durante la detergenza, calmano i rossori e portano sollievo immediato alla pelle irritata. E' un detergente a risciacquo immediato e per forza di cose gli attivi non vanno a penetrare in profondità, ma quando la mia pelle è particolarmente stressata, mi piace massaggiarne una goccia sul viso pulito e asciutto e lasciarlo in posa per qualche minuto, perché è davvero emolliente e ricostituente. Ha una consistenza assolutamente deliziosa e setosa, che sembra sciogliersi appena entra in contatto con la pelle: è ricca e lussuosa ma pulisce senza ungere e si risciacqua facilmente con acqua. E' uno dei migliori detergenti che abbia mai provato, perfetto sia per rimuovere delicatamente il trucco di tutti i giorni e la protezione solare, ma anche un makeup più intenso con una rapida doppia detersione.

L'altro prodotto è l'Omega+ Complex Eye Cream, che ho già riacquistato una volta. La crema occhi è un prodotto essenziale per me che ho la pelle secca ed il contorno occhi ancora più secco, e quindi devo assicurarmi che l'area sia sempre nutrita e protetta in modo appropriato. La utilizzo religiosamente ogni sera e mi sveglio al mattino con il contorno occhi liscio e perfettamente idratato. La combinazione di acidi grassi omega, potenti antiossidanti e ceramidi va a rinforzare la pelle, e la rende più liscia ed elastica. La sua consistenza è a dir poco perfetta: leggerissima, quasi montata a neve, sparisce a contatto con la pelle e non lascia residui. Mi piace tantissimo.

In conclusione, ho apprezzato tantissimo quanto questi prodotti siano al tempo stesso delicati ed efficaci, e non vedo l'ora di provare il resto della linea Omega+ e altri prodotti Paula's Choice più in generale.
