Recent Lifestyle Favourites.

Hello and happy weekend! Wow, it's been a minute since I have sat down and written anything on here. I hope you're all doing well!
I'm in the middle of a chilled afternoon, the to-do list it's all checked for the day and the washing machine is doing its thing. What better time to catch up and give you a run down of a few recent favourites?

I'm sure I've mentioned before that I can't get enough of Asian food and I love cooking it myself from scratch, which allows me to save on takeout and keep it healthier-ish at the same time; anyways, not so long ago I've found a new YT channel I'm utterly obsessed with. Marion from Marion's Kitchen is such a dear and her recipes are simple and pretty much foolproof, plus she adores noodles and dumplings almost as much as I do - I feel we would be great friends in real life. I've made this spicy Thai chicken fried rice several times and it's totally delicious and so quick to whip out.

I recently added some beautiful dainty pieces to my Missoma London collection and I'm over the moon with what I got during the surprise summer sale. As soon as I saw the Argonite Star necklace I knew I had to have it. I'm so in love with its organic, intricate shape and the way it reflects the light; it's beautiful worn alone to spice up a plain tee and it's also the perfect layering piece. I've also been loving mixing and matching mini hoops and chubby huggies with studs on my ear piercings, so I grabbed these mini molten hoops, which are just so cute and perfect for every day.

I'm a jeans girl through and through but this spring/summer I made a conscious effort to step out of my comfort zone and wear something more smart. Along with some new trousers that I can easily dress up and down depending on the occasion, I've also - I hope you're sitting down for this - grabbed not one but two skirts!! I never thought I could pull off the romantic bohemian maxi skirt look but I've been seeing a lot of outfits styled with plain tees and I adore the look. My favourite find is this pleated skirt from H&M; it's flowy and light, and the gorgeous floral pattern will transition really well into the early Fall days.

Dr Roebuck's products are my latest skincare obsession. They're a clean Aussie brand with a minimalistic approach to native ingredients - only what your skin needs without all the extra fuss and nasties - and products named after and inspired by dreamy Australian beaches and rainforests. I can't imagine anything more heavenly! I started with two of their bestsellers, No Worries and Down Under, but my collection keeps growing as everything I've tried worked so well for my skin and left me wanting to get more.

There's no better time than summer to enjoy a lazy afternoon and catch up with my favourite tv shows. Unsurprisingly the second season of Big Little Lies was just as good as the first one, and how else could it be with such an amazing cast? Meryl Streep is the perfect addition to the lot as she plays the villain in such a beautiful, realistic way. I loved to hate her!
The season finale of The Handmaid's Tale aired just a few days ago and it was truly sublime. I understand this is not a show for everyone - it's a lot to stomach and some scenes make me want to throw bricks -, but I. Can't. Stop. Watching. Season 3 is darker than ever, but it's also full of powerful performances, beautiful moments and finally a few proper wins for the resistance. I'm already counting down the days for season 4.

Let me know in the comments below what have you been loving recently!

Ciao a tutti e buon weekend!
